The Virginia & Truckee Railway in Carson City is bringing back the beloved holiday classic to life with its annual Polar Express Train Ride, where families and friends can once again don their pajamas, sip hot cocoa and step into the classic holiday story brought to life aboard the historic diesel train.
During the journey to the North Pole, guests will be immersed in a fully staged performance featuring costumed characters, festive holiday music, a dazzling North Pole stop, with new lights and décor each year. Every child will also receive the symbolic first gift of Christmas: a silver sleigh bell.
A new option this year is that attendees can choose their seats.
The Polar Express Train Ride runs:
Nov. 14-16, 20-23, 28-30 and Dec. 4-7, 11-14, 18-23.

Polar Express Deluxe Coach: Plush red seats and an intimate coach atmosphere.
