Carson City Fire Department and the Nevada Highway Patrol were called to a traffic accident on I-580 near Spooner Junction at Highway 50 and another crash on Carson Street.
The first crash was reported just after 5 p.m. in the southbound lane at the junction I-580 and Highway 50 West. The Nevada Highway Patrol is on scene as well as a Carson City sheriff’s deputy. One person involved in the crash reportedly suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Another accident was also reported nearby. Details of that crash are unavailable at this time.
Traffic is being diverted around the I-580 crash at Spooner Junction. Motorists can expect delays.
Meanwhile, Carson City Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies were called to a traffic accident at the intersection of North Carson and Rice streets. That accident was reported at around 5:10 p.m. Those involved pulled into a nearby parking lot. No serious injuries were reported.
