On August 26, 2026, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office, assisted by Nevada Parole and Probation, conducted a sex offender compliance check of registered sex offenders in Carson City.
The operation’s purpose is to ensure sex offenders comply with sex offender registry state laws and any parole or probation conditions — officers conducting the compliance check visit each offender’s registered address to confirm compliance and investigate any violations.
During the operation, Officers checked 160 registered sex offenders in Carson City. Of those, six were arrested for being non-compliant. Information on those arrested was released through our agency’s typical arrest reporting procedures, with their booking sheets released according to department policy.
