On Monday, August 24, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit assisted the Novato Police Department with the apprehension of a fugitive from justice out of Marin County, Calif.
Detectives identified 19-year-old Andres Ruiz Lindo as the primary suspect in a gang-related homicide that occurred on August 4, 2026, resulting in the death of a rival gang member in Marin County.
On Monday, August 24, 2026, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit and detectives with the Novato Police Department conducted surveillance in the 1300 Block of W. Newlands Drive in Fernley, Nev. Detectives positively identified Andres Ruiz Lindo as he entered a vehicle in the parking lot of the Super 8 Motel in Fernley. Detectives successfully conducted a high-risk felony stop on the vehicle prior to it going mobile.
Andres Ruiz Lindo was successfully arrested without incident. He was booked into the Lyon County Jail on:
California Penal Code 187, Felony Murder. Total Bail: No bail.
