The suspect, Brenden Loren Sisson, was taken into custody at 1:10 a.m. following an investigation. According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched at 12:36 a.m. to the 700 block of Hot Springs Road for domestic battery. Dispatch advised a woman had been pinned down and would meet law enforcement at a nearby convenience store. The woman also stated her boyfriend tried to choke her and that her ear was swollen and that she was head-butted. She advised the boyfriend was at the residence.

Deputies responded to the address and another deputy went to the convenience store. The deputy who went to the address advised there was no answer at the door and would hold the scene. Another deputy spoke with the woman who appeared hysterical and fearful, the report states.

She said that she was asleep on her living room sofa when she was awoken by her boyfriend, Brenden Sisson. She told the deputy the man slammed her to the ground, then got on top of her and began to choke her with his right hand. She said he squeezed her neck, making it hard for her to breath and when she was able to scream for help, the man pulled her hair twice and then head butted her twice. She added that the man used his right forearm to press against her upper chest to pin her to the ground. She said she stopped trying to resist him so he would stop. Once he released her, she broke free, grabbed her car keys, got her dog and drove to the convenience store and contacted law enforcement, the report states.

Deputies observed a laceration and bloody left ear, and her sweater had blood stains from the injury. The deputy asked how her ear was cut. She said it was cut during the attack. Deputies observed redness on her chest and head and redness on her neck, making her statements consistent with her injury, according to the report.

Deputies arrived at 708 Hot Springs and attempted to contact the suspect but did not get an answer. After several attempts the man answered and stepped out to the common area and sat on the stairs. He appeared to be highly intoxicated, having slurred speech, the smell of alcohol coming from his person and having bloodshot, watery eyes, the report states.

He was read his Miranda warning and agreed to speak. The deputy asked if he was in a physical fight with the woman. He told the deputy no. He said he and the woman were in a verbal argument about life and that it was never physical. The deputy told the man the woman had injuries and asked how it was possible that she sustained those injuries. The man changed his story and told the deputy he and the woman were arguing and she landed on the floor. He said the woman was acting crazy so he held her to the ground by grabbing her wrist and holding her in place, the report states.

The deputy asked what position she was in when he had her wrist. The man stated that she was on the ground on her back with her hands over her head. The deputy observed redness on the man’s forehead and asked him if he had hit his head. He said he had fallen and hit his head, the report states.

Dispatch advised that a man had a woman in his vehicle who was refusing to get out. Dispatch advised the female, later identified as Stults, held a knife to the man and took $100.

Deputies met with the man at the store who said his vehicle was at his residence a few blocks away. The man got into the patrol vehicle and went to the residence. On arrival, deputies asked the man if the woman had left the scene. He said no that she was in his house, the report states.

Deputies saw others inside the house, where they stepped outside and spoke with them. The man said he then exited the house and contacted law enforcement and walked to the home improvement store, according to the report.

A deputy spoke with the woman, who said that while in the parking lot of one of the casinos, she demanded the man take her home. He said they landed on the bed on his stomach with the woman on his back. He said he felt bite marks and that she bit him. He said he heard the door open and said he knew it was the kids so he pretended that he was playing as not to scare them, according to the report. He said he picked himself up with the woman on his back then she stood in front of him, pulling his hair. He said she would not stop and he said he told her was going to call 911. He said the woman let him go and law enforcement arrived shortly, the report states.

Deputies observed multiple bite marks on the man’s face, forearms, and the back of his arm. The injuries were consistent with his statement. Evidence photos were taken.

She was asked if she was pushing him away and how did he get a bite mark on the back of his arm, the report states. The woman could not tell the deputy and continued to say that she was defending herself. She said the man was standing in front of her and pushing her, while she defended herself. The deputy again asked how did the man get the bite mark on the back of his arm. She added that he had thrown her on the floor while she asked for her phone. The deputy asked to show them the bruises but she said she doesn’t show injuries until the next day, the report states.

Because the woman’s statements didn’t make sense, the deputy asked her why the incident was self defense. The woman then became angry and told the deputy the man was hitting her and said she already told the deputy what happened. The deputy did not observe any injury on the woman consistent with her statement. She did not have any signs of being strangled around her neck. — A 54-year-old man was arrested Saturday for suspicion of domestic battery second offense, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.

Deputies were dispatched to the 1700 block of North Carson Street just after 2 a.m. Dispatch advised that a male and female were heard yelling for approximately three hours and the reporting party heard loud banging.

Deputies arrived and met with the man and woman outside the room. The woman said she was going to call the police at the time deputies arrived. The man said the woman had bitten him in the stomach but didn’t want to do anything. The man was wearing only boxers and the deputy was able to observe a round mark on his stomach. The woman told the deputy the man inflicted the wound on himself and that he was going to tell police she did it. Deputies then separated the man from the woman and asked her what happened.

The woman told the deputy the two were in a dating relationship for approximately 11 months. She stated they had gotten into a verbal argument when the man began getting physical with her. She said he kept pushing her around and was telling her to leave. The deputy asked if the man punched, slapped or kicked her and she said “yes,” the report states.

She said the man was hitting her with an open fist, trying to get her to hit him back. While speaking with the woman the deputy did not observe any visible signs of injury, the report states.

The deputy asked the woman if she had bitten the man and she said “yes.” She said she was lying on the bed and the man came and stood next to the bed telling her to leave. She said he started lying on her and she couldn’t get him off of her. She said she was pushing him but he would get off of her. She said she then bit him to get off of her and it worked. She said she then went into the bathroom and the man followed her, throwing clothes on her and telling her to leave. The deputy asked her why she told the him the man inflicted the wound himself. She said she didn’t say that and then completed a witness statement.

Deputies then spoke with the man who said he and the woman got into an argument but he did not want her to go to jail. The deputy asked how the woman had bitten him on the stomach. The man then walked to the left side of the bed and said he was standing there and she was lying down. The man said they were arguing and he walked away and said she must have bitten him when he was next to the bed but he didn’t notice it. He said he didn’t notice he had been bitten until deputies arrived because he said the wound started stinging, the report states.

The man allowed the deputy to take a close look at the wound and observed a dark circle in the middle of his stomach. The wound appeared to be consistent with someone who had been bitten. The deputy also observed four small red marks next to the bite mark. The marks appeared consistent with someone’s finger pushing into the stomach. The deputy asked the man if they could take digital photos of injuries and he refused. While speaking, the deputy observed the man to be highly intoxicated and was slurring his words. When standing, he swayed and seemed unsteady on his feet, the report states.

Due to the facts and circumstances at the time, deputies determined the man used willful and unlawful force against the woman by putting his body on top of hers. The man had a bite mark and small red marks, which were consistent with the woman’s story of having to push and bite the man to get him off of her. The man also had a previous arrest and conviction for domestic battery. He was placed under arrest. He agreed to give a preliminary breath sample with a result of .241. Bail: $5,137.
