
A 3.3 magnitude earthquake shook the Carson City area late Wednesday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake was centered approximately 6.1 miles east-southeast of Carson City and happened at 10:23 p.m. It was followed by smaller magnitude earthquakes of 1.6 at 11:06 p.m., 1.1 at 11:21 p.m., and 1.0 at 12:05 a.m. early Thursday.
