Kristin Sickler, Nevada Humane Society

Mary is Pet of the Week for Nevada Humane Society’s Carson City shelter, and we simply cannot wait to tell you all about her!
Mary originally came to Nevada Humane Society when a good samaritan found her as a stray and brought her in. There were two things that we knew instantly: Mary was quite possibly the sweetest dog you could ever meet, and she was pregnant and did not have much time until the pups were to make their grand appearance!
After her stray hold was up, the foster team found her the perfect foster home where she could have her pups and raise them outside of the shelter.
Seven pups and several weeks later, Mary’s ready and eager to find her “furever” home! Although a bit shy at first, once she warms up to you, all Mary wants is to sit at your feet and get lots of love and pets. Mary would do best in a home with children over the age of six and can go home with other “fursibling” if proper introductions are done first.
If you are willing to be a bit patient with her, are looking to adopt a dog that will be your very best friend and want to always be by your side, come visit Mary today.
Let’s hear from Mary herself!
“You might think I seem shy on the outside, but that is just because you don’t know me yet! I like to navigate life like I would on an adventure: mapping it all out. When you take the time to get to know me, you will see I truly have an adventurous personality. I am looking for someone to be my sidekick, cuddle buddy, and furever human. Could that be you? Take a chance and come meet me today!”
You can meet Mary by visiting the Carson City branch of the Nevada Humane Society located at 549 Airport Road in Carson City, or by calling (775) 887-2171 to find out more.
