Carson City Fire Department knocked down a small brush fire that had threatened mobile homes near Pick-n-Pull off of Highway 50 East.
The fire was reported at 1:38 p.m. Multiple fire engine responded to the small brush fire, having doused the flames before the fire reached the structures. The fire had put up a good amount of smoke that was seen from the roadway.
A fire investigator has been called to the scene. According to a battalion chief the fire had burned a nearby NV Energy power pole.
