The Fuji Park Fairgrounds rocked Friday night with the sounds of contemporary Country music legends Tim McGraw and Garth Brooks at the Celebrate Carson City Country Tribute Concert.
Las Vegas-based entertainers Garth Guy and Adam D. Tucker lit up the outdoor stage with their performances as two of Country music’s most iconic musicians.
Guy’s performance as Garth Brooks shook the stage and rocked the grandstands with some of Brooks’ greatest hits.
Tucker, otherwise known as Vegas McGraw in Sin City, brought Country music fans to their feet with “Indian Outlaw,” “Real Good Man,” and “I Like It, I Love It.”
He also stirred the crowd with McGraw-like renditions of “Don’t Take the Girl” and “Live Like You Were Dying.”
The four-hour Country tribute concert opened with Jake Armer and the Hot Dogs, who played a mix of country and rock-n-roll hits.
Friday night’s concert was the first of two events at the fairgrounds this weekend.
Broncs, bulls, cowboys and barrel racers all get their game faces on for the Wild West Rodeo by Sousa’s Bucking Bulls Saturday evening starting at 6:30 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
There will be youthful mutton busters putting their best boots forward to start off the rodeo. Kids are encouraged to sign up for the mutton busting and other children’s activities Saturday night.
