An 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the area of Oak Ridge and Blue Grass Drive Thursday evening after deputies were dispatched on a report of a suspicious person walking around on the golf course and looking into people’s homes.

Dispatch advised that a man was following the suspect across the fairway. Deputies arrived on the scene and caught up with the teen at hole 14.

Deputies told him to take a seat so they could talk to him, then placed him in handcuffs and put him into a patrol vehicle.

Deputies then went and spoke with neighbors who said they’d witnessed the teen “peering into multiple backyards and asking them for water before running off.”

While speaking with the teen, the reporting deputy said they observed “restlessness, characterized by an inability to sit down, along with aggression, sudden irritability, and anger.”

They said the teen was “suspicious of others asking for things and then running away,” and that he was exhibiting signs of insomnia and paranoia while speaking with him. The deputy asked him if he would consent to a voluntary blood draw and he said no.

The deputy applied for a warrant for a blood draw, which was granted.

The reporting deputy said he was booked on “internal possession and disorderly conduct.”

Woman arrested for drugs, warrant arrest near Silver Oak Drive Thursday evening

— A 23-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the area of Silver Oak Drive and Imperial Way Thursday evening for an outside agency warrant issued out of Reno, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of paraphernalia.

According to the arrest report, the woman was arrested after deputies observed a man and woman walking in the area just after 6 p.m., and observed the woman looking inside of a parked vehicle.

The reporting deputy said he parked his vehicle near them and approached them on foot and asked them for their information. The reporting deputy said they recognized the woman from prior contacts and asked her to remind them of her name, which she gave.

The deputy ran the pair’s information, and the woman returned with a confirmed warrant issued out of Reno. The deputy yelled for her to come back, then placed her into custody.

Inside her backpack, the deputy located an Altoids mint box containing a small glass container with a clear liquid weighing 4.97 grams, which returned positive for amphetamines. Another Altoids mint box contained a syringe with the needle broken off, as well as a clear bag containing multiple pills of Amoxicillin and “a broken meth pipe.”

The deputy asked if the liquid was “liquid meth,” and she said it was. The deputy asked her to explain the process of making liquid meth, and she said she mixes a small amount of meth into water.

The deputy took her into custody and booked the items into evidence, but disposed of the amoxicillin as it’s not a controlled substance, and the jail would not accept them.

The pair told deputies they were on their way to Reno for a work meeting.

An unnamed Deputy K9 was dispatched to the scene, who conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle and provided a positive alert.

Inside the vehicle, deputies found multiple empty small clear bags in the glovebox and a small glasses case with a glass pipe with burnt white residue inside it along with two bags containing “testable amounts of suspected narcotics,” and a third bag contained presumed methamphetamine.

The driver told the deputies the pipe belonged to him, but he had no idea it was in the vehicle.

He was taken into custody without incident.

Dayton woman arrested for drugs, destroying evidence near Goni Road

— A 43-year-old Dayton woman was arrested in the 3600 block of Goni Road for possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and destroying or concealing evidence.

According to the arrest report, SET detectives were driving an unmarked SET vehicle Thursday when they drove past the residence of a “known narcotic dealer” and witnessed the woman’s car parked in the driveway.

A short time later, another detective advised the woman was getting into her vehicle. She exited the parking lot and drove away, later passing by the reporting detective who was parked near the mortuary by Pheasant Drive.

The woman passed by the detectives and “looked directly at them” according to the arrest report. The detectives conducted mobile surveillance and attempted to gather probable cause to conduct a traffic stop, but were unable to.

The woman pulled into a casino parking lot, and when another detective drove past, the woman “stared them down” according to the report. Detectives established surveillance, and a Deputy K9 was dispatched.

Detectives were unable to locate the woman inside the casino to conduct surveillance, but at the same time, Deputy K9 Cash provided a positive alert on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

While on the phone with the DA’s office to request a warrant to search the vehicle, the reporting detective’s phone rang, and it was the woman. They spoke on the phone, and she agreed to return to her vehicle.

The woman pulled up in another vehicle, sitting in the passenger seat. She provided detectives with the keys to her vehicle, and detectives located a pink makeup bag on the center console. Inside of the makeup bag, they located a hypodermic needle with presumed methamphetamine still inside of it.

The reporting detective said they did not find anything else in the vehicle and believed she had already taken it out when she left the vehicle.

Detectives asked for consent to search the other vehicle the woman had arrived in, and the driver gave permission. They conducted a search of the vehicle, and on the passenger seat, they located “several small shards of methamphetamine.”

Deputies took the woman into custody, and she agreed to speak with them. She said she knew the detectives had been following her, and that she’d already planned to meet the driver of the other vehicle at the casino, so when she arrived, she got into their vehicle, and they left.

She told detectives they’d parked in “some area” and it was off Arrowhead. She advised she had been “loading a bowl into her methamphetamine pipe and spilled her methamphetamine.” She said after she got a bowl loaded, she smoked it and got high, according to the report. She said she threw the bag that contained the meth out of the vehicle, and as they were driving, she threw the pipe out of the window, but was unable to provide a good location as to where they stopped.

She was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and destroying or concealing evidence.
