The Carson City School District invites local job seekers to its upcoming Job Fair, an opportunity to connect directly with district hiring representatives and Edustaff, the district’s official partner for substitute staffing.

The event will be held Tuesday, July 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Carson City School District Office Board Room, 1402 W. King Street, Carson City.

The district has immediate openings for a variety of positions, including bus drivers, substitute teachers, licensed teachers, para-professionals (instructional assistants), substitute para-professionals, substitute custodians, substitute cooks/bakers, grounds workers and more. Positions include entry level, part-time and full-time.

“These roles and our employees are vital to maintaining continuity in our classrooms and supporting daily operations across the district,” said Dan Carstens, Chief Human Resources Officer for the Carson City School District. “Our partnership with Edustaff will continue to help us strengthen our substitute workforce and ensure many important positions are filled.”

Edustaff, the district’s substitute staffing partner, will be on-site and ready to hire for substitute teacher roles. Anyone with a high school diploma is eligible to become a substitute, making this a great option for individuals who want to contribute to local schools with flexible scheduling.

The hiring event is free and there will be no registration required. Attendees are encouraged to dress professionally, bring multiple copies of their resume and be prepared to meet hiring managers in person.
