Silver State Salon & Spa in Carson City will celebrate its first anniversary with a community open house on Saturday, July 11, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., inviting residents to join in recognizing a year of growth, service, and community involvement.
Located at 3246 N. Carson Street, Suite 130, Silver State Salon & Spa opened its doors in 2025 with a mission of providing professional hair, skin, nail, and advanced aesthetic services while giving back to the Carson City community.
The anniversary celebration will feature refreshments, salon tours, product demonstrations, door prizes, anniversary specials, and opportunities for guests to meet the salon’s professional team.
Owner Michael Thompson, a beauty industry professional and educator with more than 35 years of experience, said the milestone reflects the support of the Carson City community.
“Reaching our first anniversary is an exciting accomplishment, and we are incredibly grateful for the clients, friends, and community members who have supported us during our first year,” Thompson said. “This celebration is our opportunity to thank Carson City for welcoming us and allowing us to serve them.”
In addition to providing professional salon and spa services, Silver State Salon & Spa has focused on giving back through several community-centered programs. The salon regularly offers complimentary haircuts for unhoused individuals, helping restore dignity and confidence to those experiencing hardship. The business also hosts Senior Discount Wednesdays, providing 50% off haircuts for senior citizens as a way of supporting older members of the community.
The salon’s services include professional hair care, color services, nail care, and advanced skincare treatments. Co-owner and Advanced Esthetician JohnMark Stephan specializes in advanced skin treatments including HydraFacial®, microneedling, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, corrective skincare, and customized facial treatments designed to promote healthy, vibrant skin.
