This week’s It’s Your City with Cortney Bloomer features guest Carla Wilson, director of the Carson City Senior Follies.
With “flashbacks” as the theme, this will be the 18th production of the follies, which began as a fundraiser for the Carson City senior meal programs. The event will be held July 10-12.
This annual production is one of the Carson City Senior Citizen’s Center’s largest fundraisers for the Senior Meal programs, serving more than 60,000 meals in 2014 to the growing senior population in the Carson City area both in-house and through senior meals on wheels.
This is your opportunity to come out and support a much-needed program while enjoying great live entertainment from some of Carson City’s wonderfully talented seniors in the air-conditioned comfort of the Bob Boldrick Theater. Tickets for the two-hour musical comedy variety show are only $10 per person for ages 5 and up. All proceeds from ticket sales go to the Carson City Senior Meal Programs.
There are three chances to see show at the Carson City Community Center, Bob Boldrick Theater, 851 E. William St. in Carson City. Performances are at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11, with one matinee performance at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 12.
Tickets can be purchased in advance Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Carson City Senior Citizen’s Center located at 901 Beverly Drive.
