
UPDATE SAT. 8:30 a.m.: Carson City Sheriff Furlong stated Saturday morning that a press release with detailed information will be released before noon.
The carnival will be reopened today, and the sheriff’s office does not believe that the incident was affiliated with the carnival in anyway, but was off to the side of the carnival near the restrooms.
The sheriff stated that access to the area for first responders last night was difficult, and that the carnival operators stated the ground was far larger than they had been expecting.
The sheriff also reiterated that they do not believe anyone is in any immediate danger, and they have one person in custody.
UPDATE 10:52 p.m.: The Carson City Sheriff’s Office issued the following statement on their facebook page: Before 10 p.m. Carson City Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of multiple people being stabbed at the carnival at Mills Park. The carnival is shut down until further notice. Sheriff’s Deputies setup a perimeter in the area, multiple suspects are being sought. One victim is in stable condition and two others are in critical condition. Anyone with video of the incident or information is requested to call the Sheriff’s Office Dispatch number (775) 887-COPS(2677). Updates to follow.
UPDATE 10:19 p.m.: According to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong, three people were stabbed in total. A Care Flight is going to land for one of the victims. Mills Park is closed until further notice. Carson City Sheriff’s Office is tending to the victims right now.
UPDATE 10:05 p.m.: There are at least two stabbing victims, both with injuries to the abdomen.
The carnival has been shut down.
UPDATE 10:10 p.m.: Two additional suspect descriptions came from witnesses that both suspects are wearing black shirts, one has a goatee and one has either a silver or gold chain.

Just before 10 p.m. on Friday night, multiple people were reported as being stabbed at Mills Park.
There is currently a four-block perimeter being set up around the park while multiple suspects are being sought. One suspect is being described as wearing a red shirt and shorts, and another suspect is being described as a white male with tattoos, clothing unknown.
Witnesses reported there was a large group fighting behind the bathrooms.
First responders are enroute to the scene to assess stabbing victims.
