On Thursday April 9, 2026, at approximately 2:22 p.m., The Nevada Highway Patrol, a division of the Nevada State Police, responded to a crash on State Route 117 near Churchill County mile marker two. This is located near Fallon, Nev.
The preliminary investigation indicates a green 1998 Dodge Ram was traveling eastbound on State Route 117 in the eastbound travel lane. The Dodge ran off the roadway entering the right shoulder of State Route 117. The driver then attempted to reenter the roadway and lost control of the Dodge. The Dodge began to rotate counterclockwise crossing all of State Route 117. The Dodge then overturned ejecting both passengers.
The right front passenger, Aubree Swick, an 18-year-old female from Fallon, Nev., was ejected from the vehicle and declared deceased on scene by medical personnel.
The rear seat passenger, an adult male, was transported to a local area hospital with reportedly non-life- threatening injuries.
The driver, an adult male, reportedly sustained no injuries during the crash.
Impairment is suspected as a factor in this crash.
The Nevada Highway Patrol Major Incident Reconstruction Team is investigating this crash.
