Carson City, Douglas County and Lake Tahoe area firefighters were called to a brush fire Sunday afternoon up Highway 50, about halfway from Spooner Summit.
The fire was reported at around 4:35 p.m. on the valley side, with fire crews accessing from the eastbound lane and entering from the south side, according to dispatch. Initial reports are that it may be a burn pile that spread. However Carson Now reader Donna Angell says that’s not the case.
