When we started Carson Now, we set up a way for people to easily post content via email, and especially for those posting from mobile devices. However, few people actually used this method, and it tended to cause more problems than it solved. We finally pulled the plug on this feature last week.
For those using an iPhone, we have found a a much better way to post content, with the Blogpress app. It works way better than the old email system. You can instantly post photos, videos and text, and even put in a link to your location via Google Maps. And you can go back and edit the posts later if you want.
For those who have Blackberry phones, there is a app called BBMetaBlog that looks like it will work, though I haven’t tried it yet.
Also on the mobile front, we are working to create a new mobile version of Carson Now. This will make viewing the site via mobile device a lot easier than it is right now. Look for this mobile version to launch by the end of the month.
Another improvement we made recently was to our login system. It now lets you sign up and login immediately, cutting out one step.
