A 28-year-old Carson City man was jailed early Monday morning on suspicion of felony drug trafficking and possession charges after deputies found approximately 16.5 grams of heroin packaged balloons in a parking lot area of a Goni Road casino, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Robert Hudson was booked into Carson City jail with bail set at $43,637. According to the arrest report, officers were alerted to possible drug sales taking place at the casino. A deputy arrived at the location at around 12:30 a.m. and casino security pointed out two men in the parking lot outside of a black Honda Accord. The deputy made contact with the men. The owner of the Honda, Hudson, sat down in the driver seat while the other man walked to his vehicle and sat in the driver’s seat.

A deputy and K9, Sepsi, were called to the location and a vehicle sniff was performed on the exterior of both vehicles. The K9 alerted positive to the presence of drugs. The deputy began to search the Honda.

On the floorboard behind the front passenger seat of the Honda officers found two small flashlights, neither having the weight of batteries inside of them, the arrest report states. The officer opened the flashlight battery compartments and found several balloons consistent with packaging used in drug sales. While at jail, officers weighed the 37 balloons of suspected heroin on the jail scale that amounted to 16.5 grams.

Another deputy found three pieces of aluminum foil containing suspected heroin residue, a razor blade containing possible residue and a black torch lighter inside the vehicle. He also found a plastic green and clear pipe with suspected heroin residue inside, and a white metal box containing a metal pipe with heroin residue and pieces of foil. Officers took possession of the drug paraphernalia as evidence.

Hudson faces the following charges: Trafficking schedule 1 narcotics, heroin; possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In other arrests: a 23-year-old Carson City man, who was jailed after officers found drugs on him and another man, faces drug trafficking charges after jail deputies Sunday found a film container with methamphetamine underneath his boxer shorts, a sheriff’s deputy said.

According to the arrest report, officers learned inmate Matthew Ryan Patellos, had drugs in his genital region. He was told to go to the changing and shower room and was asked if he had anything on him. Pathellos stated he had a black vial wrapped in the front pouch of his boxer briefs.

The man stripped down, and while taking his boxer briefs off a black container fell on the tile, the arrest report states. A jail officer opened the vial and found a blue straw and a clear plastic baggy with meth, the arrest report states.

He faces a felony drug trafficking charge in addition charges associated with an arrest earlier Sunday morning on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail amount is now $23,637.

According to the arrest report, Patellos, was arrested with James Kaecker, 28, after a traffic stop Sunday near Bath and Curry streets. According to the arrest report, the men were stopped after an officer discovered the vehicle they were in did not have a front license plate.

During the stop, officers spoke with the driver, Kaecker and the passenger, Patellos. The officer noticed what appeared to be an interlock device camera with tape over the lens near the front door post area. The deputy conducted a warrant check on the men and learned Kaecker’s license was valid but was required to drive with an interlock device. The officer asked both men to exit the vehicle and were checked for weapons.

The officer asked the man about the interlock device. Kaecker admitted that it was not functioning in his vehicle. When the officer asked the man for consent to search the vehicle with a K9 for drugs, he refused.

During the pat down search Patellos had a scale in his jacket pocket. He was detained. As they began walking a glass pipe fell out of his waistband. The man told the officer that the pipe had come from him.

Patellos was read his Miranda rights and agreed to speak. He admitted to have a pipe and scale in his possession. He was asked if there was meth on scale and the man replied yes. The K9 conducted an exterior-free odor sniff of the vehicle. The dog, Ivo, alerted to the presence of a drug odor. The officer searched the inside of the vehicle and found .5 grams of meth and a “scooper” straw inside a vial. The men were taken to jail, the arrest report states.

Kaecker faces the following charges: Felony possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, no front license plate and violation a a restricted license. Bail: $3,816. Patellos faces the following charges: felony possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $3,637.

A 53-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday, 3:03 p.m. in the area of Tamarisk and Parkland on felony suspicion of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and two misdemeanor warrants for his arrest issued earlier this month, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Mark Allison Teuscher was booked into jail with a bail of $4,500. He was stopped by a Carson City sheriff’s office Special Enforcement Team officers after he was driving a Dodge Truck with its window smashed.

During the stop dispatch confirmed the warrants for his arrest and he was taken into custody. He told the officer the warrants were “a joke just like Judge Armstrong who issued them,” the arrest report states.

All items were removed from his pockets. Inside Teuscher’s left front shorts pocket was a Marlboro cigarette pack. The officer opened the pack and found methamphetamine wrapped in the outer wrapper of the cigarettes. He was taken to jail.

A 48-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Saturday morning on felony drug trafficking and domestic battery charges after a K9 found a large quantity of methamphetamine outside a home where a woman had been beaten and choked, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said. Juan Morales, also known as Joaquin Aguirre-Hernandez, was arrested at 12:08 a.m. in the 2700 block of Merrimac Way. K9 Tarzan helped deputies sniff out approximately 10 ounces of methamphetamine, valued at around $25,000, found inside a cooler inside a storage shed. Go here for the full story.
The meth was individually packaged in 10 bags that weighed an ounce each. Morales was arrested and booked on the following felony charges: drug trafficking, level 3, possession of a controlled substance, and domestic battery with strangulation. Bail: $57,500.

Those arrested and facing criminal charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
