On Sunday at approximately 6:06 p.m., Nevada Highway Patrol troopers responded to an injury crash involving a single motorcycle on SR-341 at D Street in Virginia City.

The preliminary investigation shows that a black 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was northbound on SR-341 at a high rate of speed.

The rider failed to slow the motorcycle sufficiently to negotiate the curve and the motorcycle left the roadway to the right, according to NHP. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle as it overturned down an embankment.
