The Carson City Treasurer’s Office is asking all homeowners and real property owners to double-check that they have paid the full amount of any required real property taxes or fees for the current tax year, which runs from Tuesday, July 1, 2025, to Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

Monday, March 2, 2026, marked the due date for the payment of the fourth and final installment of property taxes for this current property tax year, and property owners must have all real property taxes paid now for any parcels they own as required by Nevada Revised Statutes 361.483.

If a homeowner or real property owner has not paid all required real property taxes, penalties, or other fees for this current tax year by Tuesday, April 28, Nevada Revised Statutes 361.565 requires the Carson City Treasurer to publish a list of the names of taxpayers whose real property taxes remain delinquent as of that date in the Nevada Appeal. Because Nevada law requires this publication, the Carson City Treasurer’s Office has started putting together the required list of property owner names, parcel numbers, and amounts owed for publication in the Nevada Appeal of any real properties that remain delinquent in Carson City after Tuesday, April 28, 2026.

One problem that the Carson City Treasurer’s Office frequently encounters that makes a property become delinquent involves the late payment of a property tax installment earlier in the tax year. When a property owner submits a late tax payment, Nevada Revised Statute 361.483 applies a penalty fee for that late payment, and if the property owner doesn’t pay that late penalty fee before or with the next property tax installment payment, any subsequent property tax payments that the property owner makes will be short and the property owner’s parcel account will now show a shortage because of this penalty that originated from the late payment.

By March of each year, when a county Treasurer’s Office begins the work to issue and publish the required delinquent notices as required by Nevada law, this is when property owners learn that any late payments which they submitted earlier in the tax year have resulted in penalties as required by Nevada law, and discover that their parcel account is now short of the full payment amount and has become delinquent.

Homeowners and real property owners can check whether they have submitted all required payments and fees for their properties by visiting https://carsoncitynv.devnetwedge.com/.  If a homeowner or real property owner discovers that they need to submit a payment for any outstanding property taxes or fees owed, they can make payments online atwww.carsoncity.gov/taxes, or can mail checks to or make payments in person at the Carson City Treasurer’s Office located at 201 N.
