Carson City Fire Department responded Monday afternoon to a reported fire at Bella Lago apartments on Airport Road.

Alerted at around 4:30 p.m. Carson City dispatch said a neighbor reported light smoke coming from an apartment unit at the complex at 1600 Airport Road.

Carson City Fire Department sent multiple engines. First responders reported there was no smoke coming from the exterior. Crews investigated and reported back that the smoke came from burnt food on a stove. There was a sprinkler inside that was on when firefighters arrived. It is unclear at this time if there was any extension of fire beyond the stove.
