By Liz Cain — The Foreman-Roberts House, located at 1207 N. Carson St., in Carson City will host its second open house of the year this Sunday, March 30, from 1 to 3 p.m. Guests can enjoy a complimentary docent-led tour, offering a fascinating glimpse into the history of the property and the lives of the Foreman and Roberts families.
Historical Society volunteers will share stories of the Roberts family’s ties to local leaders and the remarkable journey that brought the house to Carson City in 1874.
Visitors will have the chance to explore the house museum, where artifacts illustrate daily life from the 1880s to the early 1900s. The Carriage House will also be open during the event, and light refreshments will be served.
Two temporary exhibits will be on display: Northern Nevada Trains and The Life and Times of the Roberts Family.
This event is free and open to the public, with donations appreciated. No reservations are required. For more information, please visit CCHistorical.org or email carsoncityhistoricalsociety@gmail.com.
