The Carson City Fire Department responded to a chimney fire in the Lakeview area Friday night.

They released this statement on social media:

While the COVID-19 Pandemic rightfully has our full attention, we want to remind everyone that we are prepared for any emergency you may have. This evening your Carson City Firefighters extinguished a chimney fire in a large home in the Lakeview area. Fortunately the fire did not extend into the attic and no injuries were reported.

Kelsey is a fourth-generation Nevadan, English professor and investigative journalist working in the Sierras. More importantly, she is an advocate of high desert agriculture and rescue dogs.
