UPDATE: Central Lyon Fire responded Sunday evening to a brush fire near the south side of Stagecoach off Highway 50 East in Lyon County. Carson City Fire Department has been called for mutual assistance. The fire was around 1 acre as of around 6 p.m., and as of 6:30 p.m., incident command reports forward progress has been stopped.
Elsewhere, East Fork Fire and Carson City Fire Department personnel were called Sunday evening to a structure fire in the area of Vista Park Drive in Indian Hills.
The fire was reported at around 5:20 p.m. Carson City Fire Department responded as mutual aid. Firefighters arrived to a residence where there was heavy smoke with confirmed room and contents on fire in the residence.
The fire has been knocked down, according to Eastern Sierra Fire and Ice, which monitors fires around the region. No word yet as to extent of damage.
Earlier Sunday, there was a brush fire in Smith Valley in Lyon County off Artist View. At last report, fire resources made significant progress on the fire threat, mitigating it. Resources remain on scene for mop-up.
