A road rage shooting on Interstate 80 early Saturday morning ended with a suspect in custody and no reported injuries.
On March 21, 2026, approximately 5:04 a.m., a road rage shooting was reported on eastbound Interstate 80, west of USA Parkway. The Storey County Sheriff’s Office responded and located the suspect vehicle. Troopers with the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Division responded to assist.
Due to the nature of the incident, the Nevada State Police Investigation Division (NDI) was requested and is leading the investigation.
Preliminary findings indicate the suspect, identified as Clancey Harry of Nixon, Nev., discharged a firearm multiple times during the incident. The victim’s vehicle, occupied solely by the driver, was struck by gunfire at least twice. The driver did not sustain injuries.
Harry was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Washoe County Jail. He is being charged with the following:
- Assault with a Deadly Weapon (ADW)
- Discharging a Firearm from a Vehicle
- Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied VehicleThere are no outstanding suspects, and based on the current information, there is no ongoing threat to the public.
