Carson City Fire Department, Emergency Management Division is conducting a study to better understand its residents’ preparedness needs and risk perceptions as part of the City’s Hazard Mitigation Plan update process.
The survey touches on how the public receives information, their experience with planning for emergencies, and how ready they are to respond.
The public is encouraged to complete the survey by April 30, 2025. Your feedback is greatly needed and appreciated!

FEMA recommends hazard mitigation planning to minimize the impact of disasters at the state, tribal, and local levels to identify common natural disaster risks and vulnerabilities in the area.
Carson City utilizes the Hazard Mitigation Plan to align with the City’s Master Plan to coordinate mitigation projects.
