Fingerstyle guitarist Brother Dan Palmer is scheduled to make two appearances in Carson City this month. Local friends and fans are invited to share an evening of acoustic music at Nashville Social Club on Thursday, March 20, 5:30-8:00pm, and/or at The Tap Shack on Wednesday, March 26, 6:00-9:00pm.
Known for his large and diverse repertoire, Palmer moves easily between musical styles and eras, from Chet Atkins to Lindsay Buckingham to Queen and beyond. With his unique hybrid picking style and mastery of his instrument, great songs become both fresh and familiar, with interesting arrangements.
Currently on a long-term weekend residency at Grand Lodge Casino in the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, mid-week is the only time Brother Dan can be seen in local venues. March 20 marks Brother Dan’s first appearance at Nashville Social Club (1105 S. Carson St. Carson City). Highly regarded by locals, as evidenced by multiple “Best Of” awards, this family-friendly environment offers families a chance to enjoy top-notch local music on the Soft Note Stage.
Appearing at The Tap Shack on March 26, Palmer will continue to appear at The Tap Shack (112 Rice St. Carson City) on the fourth Wednesday of the month in both April and May. Billed as a “Five Star Dive Bar,” this adults-only establishment is a casual neighborhood bar, where audiences are treated to intimate, up-close performances.
