Empty Bowls Event Now on October 10th

FISH and Ogres-Holm Pottery have announced a new date for the annual Empty Bowls fundraising event. The community event will now take place Saturday, October 10, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Carson Mall.
Empty Bowls brings the community together for a simple but powerful purpose: helping ensure that no one in our community goes hungry. Guests can purchase a handcrafted bowl created by local pottery artists and enjoy a meal while supporting FISH’s food programs and the individuals and families who rely on them.
Each bowl serves as a reminder of the empty bowls that too many people face when they don’t have enough food. Proceeds from the event help FISH provide nutritious food and other essential services to people throughout Carson City and surrounding communities.
Tickets are $25 and include a handcrafted bowl and a meal. Community members are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance, as bowls are limited.

Volunteers are also needed to help make the event a success. Opportunities include helping with setup, serving, guest assistance and cleanup.
