Smoke visible Tuesday north of Carson City in Washoe County is a prescribed fire. According to Eastern Sierra Fire and Ice, which tracks fires in the region, the Nevada Division of Forestry personnel are conducting prescribed burning on 18 acres at Galena Creek Regional Park today, Tuesday, March 11. Smoke will be visible in the area and from Mt. Rose Highway during ignitions. Smoke is currently visible on the AlertWildfire Calaveras NV camera.
