Scott Morgan, Executive Director of the Ron Wood Family Resource Center, will be the guest speaker at the next Rotary Club of Carson City meeting. The public is invited to attend the luncheon which takes place Tuesday, March 3, at noon, in the Brewery Arts Center’s Grand Ballroom.
Morgan will provide an overview of the services the Center offers to families in crisis, abused or neglected children, and youth living in foster care throughout Nevada.

The organization also partners with service clubs, such as Rotary, to provide necessary resources to thousands of people. “We are proud to partner with service clubs, in particular the Rotary Club of Carson City, which has a long-standing tradition supporting community organizations including the Ron Wood Family Resource Center,” Morgan said. “Over the years, the Center has seen a significant increase in families seeking help-especially children caught in heartbreaking situations of abuse and neglect. Partnering with service cubs helps us help those families.”
Last year the resource center assisted more than 55,388 individuals with basic needs, supported 1,014 Nevada foster youth, and helped 656 children living in abusive or neglectful environments. “Our client’s stories are often painful, yet kindness brings light and hope into their lives. Most of our services are provided free of charge, and the contributions we receive allow us to continue this essential work.”
Founded in 1995, the Ron Wood Family Resource Center is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization serving Carson City and surrounding communities.
