
A 36-year-old man was arrested Friday, Feb. 25 for suspicion of felony residential burglary, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
Nathaniel Bryan Plummer was taken into custody following an investigation. He allegedly walked into an apartment uninvited and committed battery on a victim. Bail: $20,000.
In other arrests:
— A 32-year-old Carson City man, William Kaine Turtle-Nevers was arrested Feb. 25 for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, a felony, possession of a dangerous weapon, a gross misdemeanor, and four lesser misdemeanor offenses, according to a CCSO booking report.
During the investigation officers located brass knuckles and two bags of methamphetamine with a total weight of 6.7 grams. He was also booked for the following misdemeanor offenses: possession of drug paraphernalia (meth pipes), driving without headlights activated, obstructed windshield and open container. Total bail amount listed: $6,610.
Also arrested were two passengers in the vehicle, Alida Lynn Rios, 47, for suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. The third person arrested was a 25-year-old Carson City woman for two misdemeanor contempt of court warrants.
— A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of unlawful taking of a vehicle without owner consent, a gross misdemeanor offense and misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence and driving without a valid license.
According to the arrest report, deputies learned of a vehicle reported stolen, and located the vehicle, following it to a grocery store parking lot. A deputy requested a records check on the vehicle and waited for additional backup to arrive before conducting a traffic stop, the arrest report states.
The driver of the vehicle exited the parking lot and traveled south on Airport Road. The driver then turned into an apartment complex, where deputies initiated a traffic stop and waited for additional units.
The man followed the deputy’s instructions, where he was then taken into custody. A records check revealed he had a suspended sentence violation warrant and did not have a valid driver’s license, the report states.
The man admitted to the deputy that he knew he was not supposed to have the vehicle, and admitted that he knew his mother had reported the car stolen and that he went to her home, but she wasn’t there and so he just kept the car. The vehicle was released to the registered owner. Bail: $5,692.
— A 25-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday for suspicion of DUI. According to the booking report, dispatch advised to a CCSO deputy that a Carson City Fire Department rescue unit had followed what they believed was an intoxicated driver from I-580 southbound driving 45 mph in a 65 mph zone and had fresh damage to the front end of the vehicle, which was smoking. CCFD also advised that firefighters had contacted the driver, who appeared intoxicated and they had taken the keys to her vehicle, the report states.
A CCSO deputy arrived and, approached the driver and could smell an odor of alcoholic beverage and that her eyes were blood shot and watery, the report states.
The deputy asked the woman if she had been drinking. She replied two beers at a Reno bar before driving home. She agreed to standardized field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment. She provided a preliminary breath test of .165 and was arrested. At jail she submitted breath tests of .153 and .146. Bail: $1,137.
