Carson City is asking the public to participate in the Strategic Plan Survey. The survey will allow the public to help shape priorities for the next strategic plan that will begin during the fiscal year (July 1 to June 30) 2027 through 2031.
The purpose of strategic planning is to set priorities, focus energy and resources, strengthen operations, and ensure that employees and other stakeholders are working toward common goals.
To fill out the survey, go to carsoncity.gov/strategicplan. English and Spanish versions are available to the public. Survey closes on March 23.
The current strategic plan is set to conclude on June 30, 2026. Over the past five years, the City has relied on the strategic plan to prioritize actions, or tactics, that improve quality of life and services to the community. Results on tactics have been reported to the Board of Supervisors annually, highlighting accomplishments such as the construction of Station 55 and completion of the current master plan.
In addition to the survey, a public meeting is scheduled for March 12, 2026, at the Bonanza Room at the Community Center, located at 851 E. William St, Carson City, NV 89701. This will give the public another opportunity to review the background, participate in the process, and be informed about the timeline for implementing the new strategic plan.
