The California Highway Patrol has found the vehicle of a Lake Tahoe woman reported missing and who has not been seen since Feb. 15, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
Troopers located the missing vehicle in the area of Inspiration Point overlooking Emerald Bay. El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, El Dorado County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue are searching the area where the vehicle was located for Carolyn Batchelor, said DCSO Sgt. Pat Brooks on Saturday.
The recent snow fall and steep terrain are making the search a slow process. Search dogs have been deployed.
The family and close friends of Carolyn have been notified of the progress of the case and have not heard from Carolyn.
