UPDATE 11:38 a.m.: The building is being evacuated. A unit from the sheriff’s office is being dispatched as well to shut down the area surrounding the building.

At 11:30 a.m., multiple units were dispatched to a report of a gas leak in the 5200 block of Highway 50 E., the second gas leak investigation Saturday morning. The first was early this morning in Downtown Carson City.

The reporting party stated they had hit a gas line and could not shut off the gas.

Southwest Gas has been called.

First responders are enroute to the scene.
