Wednesday night, the Carson City School District announced they would be reopening as usual for Thursday classes, barring any significant weather or road changes.
However, earlier today the National Weather Service upgraded their storm warnings to say hazard conditions are predicted, with more snowfall on its way. So be sure to check notifications in the morning to be safe!

The district’s message is as follows:
Unless weather or road conditions change significantly overnight, classes in the Carson City School District will resume on the normal schedule Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026. Please drive safely and courteously and dress your student for the weather.
