The National Weather Service is predicting the next storm moving in Thursday is likely to bring more snow with it — adding to the accumulation still stacked on top of cars, trees and those Christmas decorations some of you still haven’t put away yet!

Snow accumulations are predicted up to 3 inches on valley floors with up to 6 inches for foothill areas above 5000 feet in the greater Reno-Carson City-Minden areas.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday.

“Travel could be very difficult,” The NWS wrote. “The hazardous conditions will impact the morning and evening commutes. Blowing snow may produce limited visibility and near whiteout conditions at times.
