UPDATE: Carson City Fire Department says an exterior piece of equipment started a fire Tuesday afternoon at Chromalloy on Arrowhead Drive. There were no injuries.
Battalion chief Jon Pedrini said there wasn’t any interior damage and the cause is under investigation. All employees had already evacuated the building by the time firefighters arrived.
“It definitely put off a lot of smoke but at the end of the day, it was contained to that piece of machinery and no additional damage caused,” said Pedrini.
