The FBI has provided Carson City sheriff’s detectives photos that may help identify a woman found last spring in a shallow grave near Lone Mountain Cemetery.

On March 17, 2015 at around 11:20 a.m., Carson City sheriff’s investigators responded to the area of Lone Mountain walking trail near Newridge Drive and Northridge Drive north of the Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City in reference to a body in a shallow grave.

Investigators located a shallow gravesite with an unidentified body wrapped in a sleeping bag.

On March 18, an autopsy was performed and it was discovered to be a female with redish/blond hair, between 5 foot 2 inches to 5 foot 8 inches. She was wearing an adult diaper, white Asics size 7 shoes with purple lines, size 8 rings, Aristar glasses bifocals with 135mm inscription were found in her pocket, and partial top dentures.

The deceased was reported to be between four feet six inches to five foot 3 inches, white female, between the ages of 42 and 71. The deceased was estimated to be in the ground from 1 month to 12 months. DNA recovered was entered into a national database.
