UPDATE: The victim of a motorcycle crash in Carson City was taken by Care Flight to a Reno hospital Wednesday night after the accident near the intersection of East William and Saliman streets.
The crash involved a motorcycle and at least one vehicle close to the intersection and was reported at around 8:25 p.m. The condition of the motorcyclist is unknown at this time. They were taken to Renown Medical Center in Reno. It is also unknown if there are others besides the motorcyclist who may be injured and how many vehicles are involved. The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating as well as the Carson City Sheriff’s Office.
Traffic was shut down at the intersection of Saliman and off of William at State Street as emergency vehicles responded. Westbound traffic at William was opened at 9:17 p.m.
Carson City Sheriff’s Office patrol units responded for additional traffic control as Care Flight landed near the accident scene. Traffic was re-routed as investigators were looking into the cause of the crash and how many vehicles were involved.
