Silver Squirrel Digital Designs, has officially opened its doors offering a full range of digital design and print services to businesses, nonprofits, schools, and individuals alike.
Located in the heart of Carson City, Silver Squirrel Digital Designs is the brainchild of co-owners Josie Chelotti and Cody Shelton, two professionals who say they share a passion for helping clients bring their visions to life.
“We believe design is more than just visuals,” Chelotti said. “It’s about crafting experiences and telling stories that resonate. Our goal is to create designs that are not only beautiful but also meaningful and impactful.”
Silver Squirrel Digital Designs specializes in a wide array of services, including branding, graphic design, website development, social media marketing, printing services, and more.
“Whether it’s helping a startup establish its brand identity or supporting established businesses with fresh, modern designs, Silver Squirrel is ready to tackle any project with creativity and precision,” Chelotti said.
The company’s name, “Silver Squirrel” was inspired by a remarkable western gray squirrel that often visited Shelton’s yard—a nearly two-foot-long creature that became a local curiosity among neighbors. The squirrel’s resourcefulness, adaptability, and unique charm resonated with Shelton and Chelotti, making it the perfect symbol for their business, they said.
“These qualities align with the spirit of Silver Squirrel Digital Designs: creative, agile, and always a step ahead,” Chelotti said.
Shelton, a Carson City native, grew up and went to school here, and was brought back after eight years in the Marines by the strong sense of community Carson City offers.
Chelotti, who moved to Carson Valley three years ago, quickly fell in love with its “breathtaking landscapes and welcoming spirit.”
Together, they admire the area’s “blend of small-town charm and culture, finding inspiration in the people, places, and opportunities that make this region so special,” Chelotti said.
“Carson City is the place I’m proud to call home—a community where I’ve built a future for my family,” Shelton said. “This community means so much to me, and Josie & I are dedicated to helping local businesses, schools, and organizations share their stories and achieve their goals through meaningful and impactful design.”
Both Chelotti and Shelton bring diverse expertise to the table. Chelotti, a former teacher, vice principal, and athletic director, said her years of experience in social services and leadership gives her a unique perspective on structure, communication, and understanding client needs.
Shelton, a Marine & combat veteran with a background in design, brings discipline, precision, and a sharp creative eye to every project, Chelotti said.
In addition to offering top-notch digital design services, Chelotti sad Silver Squirrel is committed to forming strong relationships with its clients.
