UPDATE: The Carson City Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public for their help in locating the subject from the earlier release. The case is on going, but the subject has been located and identified and the Carson City Sheriff’s Office is no longer seeking the man.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who may have information in the taking of money from a Carson City Shell Station.

On Jan. 3, 2017 an unknown subject located a dropped money bag in the parking lot. The man returned the bag to the store, and then left in a silver sedan. It was then later discovered that the bag was missing an undisclosed amount of money. The man was described as a white male in his late 60’s or early 70’s. He is slender build and is wearing a blaze orange hat.
