Meet Kookie and Koko, a beautiful mother-daughter pair with gentle hearts and soft, long gray tabby coats. Kookie (spelled K-O-O-K-I-E) is the mom and is about three years old, while her daughter Koko (K-O-K-O) is around two.

These two came to us from Battle Mountain after their owner experienced a sudden change in health and had to move into long-term care. Although it was heartbreaking for her to surrender the girls, she knew they deserved a home where they could receive the love, attention, and stability they need.

Kookie and Koko aren’t bold when meeting strangers and may take a minute or two to warm up, but patience is richly rewarded. Once they feel safe, they blossom into affectionate companions who enjoy gentle pets, soothing purr sessions, and sweet little head boops. They are friendly, calm, and very loving once they’ve made that initial connection.

This bonded pair would do best in a home that understands that trust takes time — and that some of the most meaningful relationships grow quietly. For the right family, Kookie and Koko will offer double the love, comfort, and companionship.

Come meet Kookie and Koko this weekend.  We are located at 1829 Brown Street, and open Friday through Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm. If you wish to adopt, please arrive early to meet the cats.
