Nevada Rural Counties Program (RSVP) Chief Executive Officer Molly Walt will be the guest speaker at the next Rotary Club of Carson City meeting. The public is invited to attend the luncheon which takes place Tuesday, Jan. 20, at noon, in the Brewery Arts Center’s Grand Ballroom.

Walt will provide an overview of the services RSVP provides to seniors and adults with disabilities year-round throughout Northern Nevada. She will also highlight the positive impact Rotary initiatives, such as the Senior Gift Project, have had on local senior citizens.

As part of the presentation, Rotarians who participated in that project will share photos and reflections from their visits.

“The project paired Rotarians with seniors for in-home visits, where members shared the gift of time, meaningful conversation, and a special holiday gift,” Walt said. “The presentation will highlight the powerful role of human connection and companionship,” she shared. “These personal stories will also underscore needs observed during the visits, including social isolation and the ongoing demand for supportive services that help seniors remain safe, independent, and connected in their homes.”

The Brewery Arts Center is located at 449 West King Street, Carson City. Anyone interested in attending should email carsoncitynvrotary@gmail.com.
