Carson City Senior Center
Every year, the Carson City Senior Center hosts an Adopt-a-Senior Christmas Program to bring holiday cheer to seniors who may not receive a Christmas gift.
Most gift requests are incredibly humble — a warm blanket, socks, robes, or microwaves sprinkled in with a few indulgent requests of See’s chocolates, TV’s, or specialty items. These gifts are delivered to seniors who are low-income, homebound, have little or no family, and are incredibly grateful for the gifts they receive.
This most recent Christmas, a record of 651 individual gifts were fulfilled by generous members of our community, businesses, and organizations. These gift donors wrapped each gift with care and attention, bringing hope and joy to the seniors receiving them.
The Carson City Senior Center wishes to thank all the donors who helped make this year festive and memorable. It is remarkable how generous and thoughtful the Carson City community is.
