Cleanup continues around Carson City and nearby counties from Saturday’s storm, which toppled trees, took down power poles, and created a mess of branches and debris along local roadways.

Photos above by Patt Quinn-Davis show two large downed trees at Mills Park in Carson City. The National Weather Service reports the storm brought wind gusts of up to 71 mph in Carson City, 89 mph in Washoe Valley, 79 mph in Jacks Valley, 64 mph in Dayton and 61 in Gardnerville.

As of Monday, 11 a.m. NV Energy reports 92 customers remain without power in Northern Nevada, the majority in Washoe County.

Another storm expected to arrive Tuesday into Wednesday will bring breezy valley conditions and gusty ridge-level winds along with valley rain and high elevation snow. Go here for the latest forecast.
