The Carson City School District is proud to recognize Sean Marler with COUNTRY Financial and Robin Stevenson with Eden Management as its January Community Partners of the Month.

COUNTRY Financial was recognized as a Legacy Level partner at Empire Elementary, and Eden Management was recognized as a Champion Level partner at Bordewich Bray Elementary.

As part of its Community Partner Program, the school district features a local business or organization each month for their commitment in helping schools and children have better opportunities and experiences in alignment with the district’s Strategic Plan goals.

Sean Marler and COUNTRY Financial is considered a Community Partner on the Legacy Level at Empire Elementary because they support four or more Strategic Plan goals regularly, including sponsoring items and meals for educators during professional development days, which helped boost teacher and employee morale (Goal 1); providing prizes for the attendance incentives program to decrease chronic absenteeism (Goal 5); providing a large donation specifically to stock prizes for the school’s Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program to promote positive student behavior (Goal 4) and supporting food donations for several parent nights and fundraising events to increase parent and family engagement (Goal 3).

Robin Stevenson and Eden Management is considered a Community Partner on the Champion Level at Bordewich Bray Elementary because they support three or more Strategic Plan goals regularly, including providing gift card raffles for students who had excellent attendance during the first quarter of the school year (Goal 5); increasing retention of exceptional personnel by sponsoring gift cards to educators as teacher appreciation prior to the Christmas Holiday (Goal 1) and supporting a collaborative school culture with raffle prizes for parent and family engagement nights (Goal 3).

The Community Partner Recognition System aims to build a stronger, more engaged community dedicated to the success and well-being of its students. Additionally, it acknowledges and celebrates the valuable contributions of our community partners as they align with the goals found in the Carson City School District Strategic Plan Empower Carson City 2027.
