WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL ABOUT THIS SHOW? Well, it’s based on Barbara Park’s best-selling books (which you should read, like, yesterday). “JUNIE B. JONES JR. THE MUSICAL” is a laugh-out-loud adventure that kicks off with me (Junie B., obviously) starting first grade. Spoiler alert: It’s not all smooth sailing. First, I lose my best friend. Then I make a new one (Herb is pretty cool). There’s also Mr. Scary’s chalkboard mystery, the horror of glasses (ack!), and let’s not forget the cafeteria lady with a heart of gold, the BIGGEST kickball tournament ever, and my Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal.
There are lovable characters, hilarious moments, and toe-tapping songs that’ll stick in your head like glue. This isn’t just a musical—it’s a first-grade-sized ADVENTURE you’ll never forget!
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? EVERYONE! We’re building a super-duper diverse cast of kids and teens to bring Junie B.’s world to life. And get this: this musical is so amazing that grown-ups have performed it before! (Yes, GROWN-UPS. Imagine that!) But don’t worry—this time, it’s ALL about YOU. We’re hoping to double-cast the show with two fab groups: a “Younger” Cast and an “Older” Cast. If you’ve got BIG talents in singing, acting, or dancing, we NEED you to make this the most fun-tabulous show EVER.
QUESTIONS? Shoot an email to producerwhct@gmail.com. See you in first grade!
