The Carson City Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man for allegedly committing two armed robberies on New Year’s Day.
On Jan. 2, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office arrested Adelaido Aragon-Rueda for two alleged armed robberies that happened Jan. 1. The first armed robbery occurred in the area of North Carson Street and College Parkway, reportedly at a convenience store, and the second armed robbery happened reportedly at a convenience store in the area of Fairview and Desatoya.
Patrol deputies later located Adelaido in the area of Hot Springs Road and Nye Lane at 11:15 a.m. Adelaido was arrested for the following charges:
— Robbery with a Deadly Weapon (2 counts)
— Battery with a Deadly Weapon
— Burglary with a Firearm (2 counts)
— Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm
— Conceal/Destroy Evidence
Adelaido has no valid forms of identification and detectives are currently working with federal agencies to confirm his identity, according to a news release. He’s being held with a $80,000 bail amount.
