Carson City motorcycle rider identified in Tuesday freeway crash
A Carson City man has been identified in the Tuesday night motorcycle crash on the Carson City freeway, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
Kevin M. Purvis, 33, of Carson City died as a result from injuries in the crash that happened in the southbound lane of the 580 freeway, north of Fifth Street, said NHP Trooper Dave Gibson.
The crash investigation details learned so far indicate a 1998 red Honda street bike driven by 33 year old Kevin M. Purvis of Carson City, NV was traveling southbound on Interstate 580 just before the off ramp when for unknown reasons he lost control and was ejected from his motorcycle, according to NHP's Gibson. There were no other vehicles said to be involved in the accident. Mr. Purvis was pronounce deceased at the scene.
