Saturday events are:

Music in the Market – Barbara Baxter - 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Third & Curry St. Farmer's Market. Barbara Baxter sings soul-laced jazz with Jimmy Vermilion on piano.

Music at the Mall – Carson Dreamers
- 1:00-3:00 p.m., at Carson Mall (inside), 1200 S. Stewart St. The Carson Dreamers is a dynamic quartet that performs original compositions along with a sprinkling of Latin jazz tunes and some re-imagined standards. For information about Rocky and Craig's Carson Dreamers' recordings, A Rose for My Love and Everybody On the Dance Floor, see http://www.cdbaby.com/Artist/CarsonDreamers.

Me & Bobby McGee – 1:45-2:45 p.m. at Comma Courtyard, 312 S. Carson St.
Me & Bobby McGee are June Joplin and Bob Reid, purveyors of sublime classics from the Great American Songbook. June, who's equally at home in a mink coat or blue jeans and high-heeled pumps, has the voice and the heart for the timeless classics—a smooth, smoky, passionate style that's part diva, part rapture, part pure sizzle. Bob backs her up with soulful accompaniments he's honed over years of listening to and playing the great songs of our time. Together, they imbue their performances with the qualities of the songs they love—timelessness, elegance, and class. Free. http://www.me-and-bobby-mcgee.com

Under the Radar - 3:00-4:00 p.m. at the Third Street Stage (between Carson and Curry Streets). Under the Radar is a jazz-funk-rock-blues band formed in 2010 after winter jam sessions at a boathouse on the shores of Lake Tahoe. The fireside jam sessions became popular among locals and visitors from around the world. Band members have created a composite tone with a niche sound, influenced by Tower of Power; Earth, Wind & Fire; The Crusaders; Herbie Hancock; Santana; Hendrix; Average White Band; Miles Davis; David Sanborn; and Grover Washington Jr. Band members are Dallas Phillips on sax, David "Fez" Duffie on bass, Richard John on guitar, and Mike Badinger on drums. The Fantods - 4:15-5:15 p.m., at Comma Courtyard, 312 S. Carson St. The Fantods are a trio from Reno, Nevada. They play old, somewhat damaged instruments in a style that might best be described as Hillbilly-funk fusion or eclectic-jam-Americana. Their repertoire of mostly original music runs the gamut from tightly arranged countryesque songs in the vein of Ryan Adams and Tom Waits (as if there were such a vein) to extended high-energy improvisations featuring the violin, mandolin, and guitar of Ben Wilborn, the upright and downright funky bass of Joe McKenna, and the assorted percussion of David Newman.
